Icon2 Weird smell coming from the engine bay

So I recently got a 1995 B18C1 swap into my 1993 Civic Si. My car has been having idling and bogging problems, but I don't know if this weird smell has anything to do with it.

Well let me describe my situation:
As my car heats up, engine bay starts to smoke a bit around he back of the intake manifold (nothing dramatic) and this strange smell starts popping out soon afterward. I honestly don't know how to describe this smell and this smell is not like rotten eggs My question is: has anyone ever had this experience?

Fyi: already changed the clogged catalytic converter, but problems still persist even before the catalytic converter was changed.

Also, I would like to add that my exhaust is super hot to the touch and the shifter is way too hot to touch as well. Is this normal at all?

Anyone with some kind of information, please help. I am in dire need of some kind of place to start in.

Just a rough guess, but this sounds like you got an exhaust leak. Seafoam your motor and look for white smoke leaking out of the exhaust under the car.

Also an exhaust leak would cause your idling and bogging problems as well assuming your leak is before the oxygen sensor. I'm not sure if your oxygen sensor is in the downpipe or in the exhaust manifold as I'm not really an integra expert.

Thanks for the advice.

I think the o2 sensor is on the exhaust manifold, but I could be wrong.

Bump for more help!
