CRX Si Fitment question
I am looking at getting these (http://shop.klutchrepublik.com/colle...1-black-bronze) wheels for a 1990 CRX Si. The only size they offer in this color is 15x8.5" / et17. Can i run these wheels without stretching too extreme or stupid amounts of camber? would spacers or anything help? im sorry if this is a dumb question, im very new to the whole wheel fitment game. Thanks for any help
i was looking to run about the same wheel but couldn't find any real help on how well it would fit... most likely you will have to stretch the tire and roll fenders plus run a decent amount of camber.... my advice to you would be if you want your car to ride like **** scrape everywhere eat tires left and right you are looking at the perfect size wheel... i left the idea of running 15x8 diamond racing wheels on my rex and ended up running a 15x7 +36.. i went with this size due the nature of thie tire sizes available
With a proper sized tire, very minimal camber, and stock quarter panels/fenders... 15x7 +35 will be about the limit your car can fit without rubbing issues. Those 15x8 +17's will sit about an inch and a half further out then a 15x7 +35.

i really like how they look and it looks to me (total noob btw) that as long as im not slammed i could fit a proper tire in there...

I appreciate your position and choice to do what you like and not what others like. However, with proper sized tires... you will need a fair amount of negative camber and the fenders/quarter panels rolled. That's unavoidable. The tires pictured are actually an EXTREME stretch.
What kind of tires are you gonna go with?
I got a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-04s from SimpleTire and love em. Good price, good ride, crazy traction.

Personally, I love the meaty look of 205/50-15 z1's on my 15x8 +25, rather than on rubber bands. I have had several local crx owners inquire about my fitment.
It is a very simple process of measuring to determine fitment. Lets start of with what I was running originally. A 15x7 +36 enkei. The center of the rim of a 7 Inch wheel is 3.5" which would be a 0 offset. +36 offset which is 36mm/ 1.417" and would move towards the front of the wheel 1.417" giving a back spacing of 4.917". The reminding portion of the rim which sits forward of the hub mounting point is 2.0831".
The 15x8 +25 wheel gives a backspacing of 5" (close to backspacing of enkei setup) but moves the remaining 3" of the 8" rim forward of the hub mounting point. That means the 15x8 +25 wheel pokes out almost a 1" more than the 15x7+36 but has almost the exact same back spacing.
