Hey y'all, just coming to these forums for the good times and some help that will ultimately be needed in the future. I am in the process of buying a red 2001 Accord EX Sedan, and I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for before the sale goes through on the car. Making the transition from a constantly breaking down Prelude, I hope this will be much more reliable (and won't drink oil like the 'lude). It was rear ended back in December of 2012, but it appears to only have done minor damage to the bumper cover. Other than that the car looks good and drives even better! I am wondering what a fair price for it is. I will provide a link to the posting here:

1. Carfax. 2. Test drive for at least an hour. 3. Due diligence. Maybe an independent inspection.

 

Already on top of that carfax, that's where I found out about the accident. I took it for a short 20 mile mixed (highway/city) test drive and it drove great and sounded superb. I plan on taking it to an inspector on the day I plan to purchase it at someplace away from the town it is being sold in.

 

Auto or manual trans?

 

It's a 5spd Manual.
