Ok so I realized my car burns some oil. and im about to go boost so I decided to go for a mild rebuild. Few questions I have.
I suspect valves seals is whats causing me burning oil so im going to be changing those.
When I take off the head I also have a new cometic headgasket ready for it... My question is will I need to resurface the head?

Since im not going to be touching my block and im going boost soon not going over 300hp looking at 280-300 is there anything recommended that I should do to my head? I did a compression test already I have 180 across.

 

Yes resurface your head. People have gotten away without resurfacing the head but i dont recommend it. Also the new head gasket will better seal on a clean surface.

 

Ok thank you and how much does resurfacing cost?

 

Most machine shops do it for around $50

 

Also spend the money on some arp headstuds.
