Default Need help with header.

Ok so I was about to buy a PLM 4 2 1 header with the true 2.5" collector but then my buddy told me not to do it because I have a 2.36 inch exhaust (Skunk2 60mm catback). He said I will lose power. Ok ive read that it wont hurt me almost at all because it so close in size. Here is what my setup is gonna be: B20b bottom end,Fully built and ported non vtec b18 head, crower 404 cams, aem adjustable cam gears, crower titanium valvetrain, dual valve springs, bc valves, valve angles and port job, PLM 4 2 1 header, Skunk2 intake manifold, Pwjdm intake, Magnaflow high flo cat.

Any input on if this will kill a lot of power or what. Or will I make better power with a 2 inch header?

Please any advice would be great.

Sorry but I always have to ask but are you going non-vtec just to be different? Keep in mind this is coming from another guy that had a built b20b bottom end, built p8r head. It just doesn't make sense to not go vtec.

vtec is over rated. Any non vtec with a good set of cams is just as effective.

Just look at FrankAcura(s) build.

theres plenty of power in B20's w/o a vtec head.
And persoanlly, Ive seen torque numbers drop when switching to a vtec head.

What you should be most worried about is the Password jdm intake, do a search it is basically the worst intake you can get when trying to make power.

To build a reliable b20v is way to much money vs a few mods to get maybe 20 less whp and the same amount of torque. I dont need vtec to have fun man, its gonna be my dd.

Only a non-VTEC user would try and rationalize like that .. j/k

Torque drops at VTEC point, then powerband takes over. I remember we had two identical Integras. One VTEC, one without, both turbocharged. Torque was on the LS, Powerband was with the GS-R.. Both had similar turbos for the powerband... It was almost always a tie.

Too many more cam options to change nice characteristics with VTEC. That's just me though, messin' with ya.
