Will 96 instrument cluster work in a 94
I know that it looks the same but I am concerned that the wiring harness plugs may be different. Does anyone know if they are the same? My gas gauge has not worked in 10 years and the odometer is getting stuck when I reset the maintenance reminder. I found one out of a 96 and want to be sure it will work before I spend $30. on it.
Just buy one out of a 94?
It should work if the three digit code works. There is either a 168 or a 167 cluster, you need whatever one your car has.

A quick search online revealed clusters from 94-97 are the same when trying to buy one. That means the plugs will be the same on the rear. If there was a difference in plugs they wouldn't sell by a year gap like that. It would be something like 94-95 accord cluster. Then 96-??? accord cluster.
Ah, gotcha. Just make sure its the same 186 or 187 that your existing cluster has. This is a thread I wrote up about a damaged tachometer that I had to replace in my 94.

I found that it was, but I also had them directly in front of my face too. Considering you have to pull your cluster ANYWAYS to replace it, I would just verify what number/model it has and then reference it to the new one you're looking to replace it with.
