Default Integrated Control Unit

I went to the salvage yard today and pulled a couple of integrated control units. One was made by TRW in the US. Another was made by Denshigiken in Japan. I am not familiar with either of these brands as far as electronics go. Is one of these better than the other? Honda's part no. is 38600-SV4-A01.

It's probably dependent on where the car was made. Thus US has US suppliers, Japan has Japanese suppliers.
TRW is a huge US automotive parts/sub systems conglomorate. They have been around since the early 1900s supplying parts to Ford for the Model T.

As long as the units work and are correct for your application I don't think it will matter. They both had be made to meet Honda specifications.

I knew TRW from their bearings, but not from their electronics.
