Default DC 4-1 Header/AEM Intake Question

So I recently bought a DB8, i'm in Cali by the way, so the few modifications done to it is DC 4-1 Header with CARB legal stamped into it, and an AEM Intake with CARB legal sticker. Problem is that a guy came to look at it, he had explained to me that these aren't the right ones, meaning it wasn't meant for the GSR at all, but for a civic? I haven't been able to smog it yet, my check engine light is on as well. Is anything that the guy told me true? Would my best bet be just to call DC Sport and AEM?

You have to look up the Carb EO Number on both DC and AEM's site to see which parts those EO numbers are assigned for. The guy could have bought the pipes second hand and slapped on some civic stickers assuming the Ref wouldn't look up if they apply to that specific part or not.
