DC2 Cooling Fan Timer/Delay with Hondata
Hey everyone.
I got a 97 GSR and i was wondering if there is a timer to keep the cooling fan running for a lil (10min or so) after the car is off. I know my accord had one and some of the earlier tegs. As far as i know, mine does not.
I also have a Hondata s300. Is there a way i can do it though the ECU?
Do they make a timer relay that i can just replace with a stock one? or does the relay itself not have any power with key off.
If not i think im going to go with something like this http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...d=320852799879
And wire it in along with the stock relay/system.
thoughts, ideas...All inputs welcome

I've never heard of it being done...no integras did not come with it. no you can't control it via your s300. I get what you're trying to do what's all done to the car ?
Thanks for answering the multiple questions.
As far as whats done: 85mm sleeved block with all the trimmings, stock GSR valvetrain/head, .63 turbo ~7psi, 550cc injectors
cooling aspect:
OEM honda thermostat, half size dual core radiator, blox fan.
the cars great on the highway but gets a lil hot in stop n go. (gonna upgrade to a spal fan eventually) and its even worse when i turn the car off to run in the store or somethn for 10min, the car will actually get hotter while off.
Just lookn for a simple fix to keep her cool.

Have you looked into a turbo timer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo_timer ? Greddy makes good ones had one on my S15 as I did ALOT of stop n go and it always bugged me how hot is stayed I opened the hood once it was in the garage to help it cool lol. but I wouldn't want to leave a Honda "on display" you know.
Lol yea ive left the hood open in the garage too. I have a turbo timer built into my alarm and I have it set to 3min. might change it to like 5 and see if it helps.
