Default Yokohama Advan ES 100 vs. Falken Azenis RT615k

Hey honda-tech I barely got into cars like 1 1/2 years ago and I been running on these cheap tires and my tires are going out so I was wondering if I can get some help and opinion with these tires I'm planning to get next. My rims are 15x7 and tires are 205/50R15, Which size tires would be better, 205/50R15 or 195/50R15? I been to couple track races but never participate and I'm planning to do some track racing this year so I want to know the pros and cons of these tires. I drive a 98 GSR with just air intake, headers, and manifold.

IMO i'd go with the Falken Azenis RT615k more of a "track" tire then the ES 100's as for width 205 more road contact. are you looking to DD the car also or do you have a spare set of wheels ?

es100 hasn't been produced in something like 5 years. all will be too old to use for any sort of performance driving

I'm planning to keep these as dd's too but I'm not so sure im thinking about getting some cheap tires for DD and keep these set for track, I haven't made up my mind yet.

so for the tires size, what would be the difference between 205/50r15 and 195/50r15?

I don't know lol i just did some research and reviews and I found that the most compare and competitive tires were the falken azenis and the Yoko avs, but I don't think I look at the thread date its probably couple years old...

I love my z1 starspecs. I would personally go with the z2's. I have had excellent wear on mine with many trips to the drag strip and a auto-x. I have 16,000 miles on them and still look like the have over 50% life left.

The Falken RT615K Azenis haven't been the hot street tire since the previous generation of "extreme performance summer tires" came out, and the current generation are even better.

205/50-15 or 225/45-15, depending on wheel width. They should wear better than anything else with comparable grip (last longer). 195/50-15 is too small (diameter) for an Integra.

what do you want the tire to do? with the new gen of extreme tires the yokohama ado8R and bridgestone re11a are going to be two of your top choices. both are decent in the wet as well

the yokohama sdrive replaced the es100...and i really don't think it's as good of a tire, but, it's a completely different class. the s drive is a hard daily driver sport tire. the 615k or even better re11a and ad08r are just a smidgen off of R compounds

brand names mean nothing, it's all about the tire and the compound. most of the big names have made great tires and not so great tires

the yokohama parada was a garbage tire. the ad08 is a great tire, just one example
