Aps plastic or polyurethane type r lip on 96 hatch?
What will hold longer? Such as when scraping when hitting a dip or driveways etc. I'll be buying it from http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...umpers/spec_d/ ,Spec D Tuning is the brand.

Save your pennies and buy a better lip than the run of the mill fanboi replica. When it comes to both the fugen and hype-r the plastic is made so thin neither is going to last very long when it comes to "hitting a dip or driveways etc".
Definitely polyurethane. Trust me i go crazy when people waste money on fake parts...with the ONLY exception being front lips, especially if it's a daily driver and you're lowered. I've seen too many guys buy 200+ dollar carbon fiber lips only to be destroyed within a few months. Either ripped off, cracked, all the knicks and scratches, etc. There's no point. One guy bought a First Molding lip for like 500 bucks off a classified ad and it was cracked within a month. So i say go with a cheap poly lip. There's plenty of knock-off's and a lot have a near perfect fit. A 40 dollar lip is easily replaceable.
I've been through so many that I hate myself for doing so. After a while, you realize how bad of a decision it was to purchase them, because: (my opinion)
-Everybody and their grandmother has it, you're not being 'different' if you have it on your car, it's actually a set back or downgrade.
-It's a way of labelling you, the driver/owner, as a guy who cheaps out their parts (unless you like it, or you can justify why, or if it's paintmatched and works with your car)
-They break easily when not installed right
-The fitment can often be messy and ugly because they don't mount as strong as OEM or genuine aftermarket versions.
However, in some cases like it's a daily driver and you know it's going to scrape or get damaged anyway (as mentioned above) that's fine and makes so much sense. Cheaping out on body parts is okay, as long as it doesn't risk your safety or reliability, being cheap is fair.
Also, whenever I see a 99-00 Type R style or a 99-00 Mugen style on a 96-98 Civic I really just get disappointed... It does not blend well together, the lip doesn't flow with the front bumper. It's ugly
Here's a list I put together of front lips:

If you're interested in more info like clusters, 99-00 lips, 96-00 rear lips and other slight modifications check out the thread here:

I'm really liking the SiR lip, just what I need! Know where I can buy one? I found one on Amazon but I'm unsure if I should purchase it from there..
