This is the first time I have needed to change my oil and I tried turning my maintenance light off but it wont go off. I have a little area on my dash that I stick my key in and push to turn it off as I have read online but it wont turn off. any ideas what it could be or how to turn it off?

 

99 Civic? Its an indicator, not a light.
If you try to press the reset tab where you put your key and it doesnt flip back to green then I suggest you take out the cluster and see why.
