Need help - No start of a jdm D15B in 89 Crx
Helping a friend with his swap,
89 crx dx already converted to mpfi and had a seized d16a6.
He bought a known running obd1 jdm d15b taken out of a 93 civic sedan lx. We drove the car to my house and pulled it ourselves so it was running fine.
We swapped all the obd0 parts to the d15b longblock. Complete intake manifold, and distributor because he just wants to get the car running for now so it is remaining obd0. He is running a pr4 ecu.
It cranks but will not start. No check engine lights are on.
Things we tried today -
Its getting spark at the end of all 4 wires.
Tried different spark plugs.
Its getting fuel, I pulled the return hose and gas shoots out when turning over.
I also pulled the rail with the injectors still attached and all 4 injectors are shooting fuel as they should.
I rotated the distributor rotor 180 degrees, no good.
Timing is spot on. I researched it just to be sure and it is perfect mechanically.
I tried another resistor box.
I used another pr4 that I had from an old b18 swap.
I used a main fuel relay from my Si hatch.
I cleaned all grounds, thermo-housing, transmission and valve cover ground.
What else am I forgetting to check?
Any suggestions, I'm all ears???

I had a problem some what like that one time. Try priming the intake manifold with a little shot of fuel and try to start it. If it pops but won't stay running change your dizzy. Thats what i did and solved my problem.
What is your firing order?
You should be using the A6 firing order.
If the PR4 is 'new', then don't use it and go back to using the same ECU used on the A6 until it starts correctly.

Yes, we are using the a6 firing order.

His car was already using a pr4 when he was using the d16a6 and he was running fine. I tried another ecu just to rule out that his was bad but no luck.
