gsr butterfly removal...
Ive been thinkin about buying a top shelf intake manifold but i thought about keeping the stock manifold and just removing the butterflies. Has anyone ever done this? I figure if I take the butterflies out, itll more or less be a ported itr manifold. Yes, No? Feedback?
No it won't it still has a really restrictive design what you can do is unhook the IAB connector plug or get a chipped ECU(non p72) so the butterflies will stay open all the time. my advice: get a Skunk2 intake manifold 70mm plenum opening so you can happily run a 70+mm TB. have them open is just as effective as if you were to remove them.
What ? no you don't I didn't notice **** when I got my chipped P30 and then once again when I swapped over to my skunk2 intake manifold. That WHOLE manifold is restrictive as hell open it up and look I did when I got my skunk one.

mine lag like crap it not bad but you do notice it when you do easy acceleration on normal dd.
