Default AEM Intakes

How's it goin lads? I'm currently livin in ireland and i'm thinkin of gettin a AEM CAI shipped in from the states. Problem is i dont know which one to order! Its for a 92 JDM Civic VTi (1.5 D15B engine). I've been told by a mate that the one for the USDM EX/Si will fit but i jus wanna get a second opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Peter
PS heres a pic of the engine bay!

it looks like an intake for an ex would work fine.

Ah, excuse me, but I don't agree. Look at the size of the TB opening. You're going to have problems 'cause it's so small. You can expect to have to do something to take up the gap. Everything else should be okay though.

If you'll notice, a lot of those cheap 'one-size-fits-all' intakes on eBay come with reducers, but you aren't going to get those with an AEM...

no no, that's the 1.5 VX manifold....all you need to do is buy the AEM, go to your local hardware store and buy a PVC pipe clamp(rubber) that connects 2.5" to 2.00"inch....thats what i did and it fit like a glove

that engine bay/motor looks familiar ...hmm

lets get some things straight:
first JDM/Euro VTi D15B = D16z6 head/intake and so on with a VX block, the combo works with almost all D16z6 parts, and puts out the same power with slightly less torque

Civic ETi (VTEC-E d15b) = VX, economy motor with nothing good as far as any goodies.

dyno of my old JDM D15B VTEC (came with LSD tranny) - different numbers are comparisment of different programs (lowest is a stock p28, which is not matched very well to the motor)

motor running with EG6 airbox/pipe, it all works like a charm including ITR TB on it
