got my hands on an oldschool RSR exhaust....WOW
Damn, no joke about these being quiet. I installed it and was running around on just the b-pipe since I had to mod the muffler to fit my hatch since this was off a coupe. Finally put on the muffler today. I love it...

Oldschools is an oval muffler (OEM looking) with a 4" tip. The new Invidia looks sorta like an N1/Fireball.
Both are sweet.

my buddy has an B18C5 powered EK with RSR/Skunk2 cat back, JDM DC 4-1 and Toda B's, without a doubt, the nicest sounding set up I've ever heard in my life, I love to hear him floor it.
www.alternativemotoring.com has them. its funny though, they are the old school ones but they say invidia on the tip. can someone explain?

here's the reasons why i think its real:
-came in RS*R performance exhaust box.
-came with the Racing Beat sticker on the box which was the importer for RS*R products in the US.
-each piece (3 pieces in all) came in a Racing Beat labeled plastic bag.
-looks exactly like an RS*R exhaust
here's the reasons that make me question the authenticity of these exhausts.
-didn't come with the big RS*R sticker on the muffler(like it shows on the website and on other RS*R exhausts i have seen).
-didnt come with an RS*R sticker on each of the two piping pieces.
-came with Invidia stamped on the top of the tip. (I believe the others came with RS*R stamped on the side, correct me if im wrong)

Note: We have received many calls regarding the availability of INVIDIA exhaust products. INVIDIA was at one time a brand name that was being offered by RSR-Japan. As we understand, the INVIDIA brand name was later transferred to another independent company with no ties to RSR-Japan. This company produced selected exhaust systems and distributed them in the US for a short period of time. It is our understanding that the INVIDIA systems are not being distributed in the US at this time.
