Baking Headlights 101 - "x99MRSIx Style"
Well after reading x99MRSIx thread about baking headlights,
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=282131
I felt compeled to go and paint the headlights of my hatchback. With his precise teachings, and excellent documentation, I successfully completed his course in "Baking Headlights 101". I documented my project itself. Check out below!
-As you can see, first I got the headlights out of the hatch.

-After that I precided to get the oven to a optimum tempature.

-I placed the lights in the oven

-While they cooked, I casually thought about how my lights will look after completion.
-After simming, I easily pryed and broke apart my headlight
-Proceeding to paint them black
-After repeating the process for the other light, I assembled the lights, rebaked them (to ensure the sealent was mushy again). Closed up the lights, and for extra protect, you water proof sealent.
As you can see, a successful project. The lights look marvelous.

THANKS x99MRSIx!!!!!!!!!!

HP, hell yeah man! My hatch pulled hella hard when I finished them. As for the question of why paint them. Cause I WANNA. I think looks it good. I'm not trying to be a CTR wannabe. But I like the black housing, just looks good.

I did the same thing to mine, but painted them a dark grey. I used bumper trim paint and they turned out well, but the color is flat and doesn't shine. Does anyone know a good way to emulate the CTR lights with the charcoal chrome finish (ie. shiny)? If I could find a good way to do it, I would definetely pull them back apart. Thanks!
