Yes I’ve used the search function so here is the question…I have a 2 door 2008 civic LX coupe with and I’m having issues with the locking mechanism. Both the remote and master lock switch seem to not be working. When I click either button I hear a solenoid type click that comes from the dash area so I know there is continuity from both the remote and master switch. What can the issue be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Neither door locks or unlocks.

 

It's probably the actuators... they pretty much control the locking mechanism which locks or unlocks and lucky enough it's a cheap fix and easy to replace but I would suggest still having someone with experience do it.

 

how is it possible that both actuators have gone bad at the same exact time?

it could be a short... I'm not sure your best bet would be get it looked at.
