what flywheel are you using?
To add to my last topic of clutch what flywheel are you guy using. Gonna have the transmission opened up anyway so i might as well throw in the extra money for a flywheel. Thanks

u don't lose any torque at all. when ur clutch is fully enganged the flywheels is nothing but rotating mass, mass that ur engine needs to spin. illiminating some of that mass will put more power to the ground because the engine can waste less energy spining the heavy flywheel. Flywheels are heavy from the factory to make it easier for the car to start from a dead stop. with a lightweight flywheel its harder on the clutch to get the car moving since u need to rev higher to have a smooth engagement and upshifts are much smother with out the jolt right when u upshift. Engine will also rev and drop much faster.
My question for thsoe w/ lighter flywheels. How did acceleration in the higher gears compare w/ the lighter flywheel vs stock? Based on the technobabble by SCC a while back, lighter flywheels show their benefits with high gear ratios, which makes me think our accord's crappy 4th/5th gears wont take advantage of it very much (and where I spend most of my time driving).
