Default Vtec Wiring(feel free to call me names)

Ok, found the vtec wiring guide
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/92-00-honda-engine-swap-wiring-guide-vtec-non-vtec-2987229/

there it is. yes, i searched, and i found. I'm running a gsr, and removed the butterflies. Here's my problem, and my setup:

1992 civic dx
GSR Motor & tranny
p72

-I hooked up my wires at the ecu (a17 and a20).

-I go to the shock tower plug, and i see that there are already orange/white orange/blue wires hooked up to it.

-pins a4 and d6 are already hooked up.

Where do i splice/re-pin wires a17/a20 into? If a4 and d6 are already in the stock harness that came with the swap hooked up, wouldn't vtec be working? Do I need to re-pin the vtec all of the above mentioned to match the p72 that I'm running? This is my first vtec conversion, if you can't tell, and I'm electrical illiterate.

btw, it's brandon's old car. maybe someone knows what he did with the wiring. i know it used to have a ls turbo in it, but then why would those wires in a4 and d6 be hooked up??? Wiring hurts my head.

EDIT: Couldn't I just jump the wires directly from the vtec solenoid and run them to a4/d6? But that would still leave a17/a20 hanging?

OBD1 ECU, right?

The solenoid wire pins to A4 and the pressure switch to D6.

A17 is for the IAB. A20 is for the EVAP purge control.

yessir, obd1 ecu. a virgin p72.
and I'm not running the butterflies, so i don't see why a17 and a20 need to be hooked up.

and it seems that the orange wires for vtec that are supposed to be hooked up, are already hooked up, yet i dont have vtec...

Figured it out. The guy before me had a body harness style map sensor plug up, and that what was making vtec not working. Thanks for the help and suggestions guys.
