I'm having a GSR hydro rebuilt by John Schill at Absolute ProFormance in Finksburg, MD. It'll be rebuilt with a set of SynchroTech Carbon Pro Series synchros (SYN-101) that came with the trans when I got it. The trans is going to be mated to a fairly stock LS (I/H/E/T), but may see pistons and cams in the future. It's a 92 CX hatch street car that will see light strip duty.
Mista Bone (bonespec, transex, etc etc etc LOL) recommended a while back that I also replace the 3-4 sleeve with a hardened one while they're in there.
I'm wondering if it's a good idea to replace the 3-4 hub with a hardened one as well instead of using the OE one with the hardened sleeve.
Also should I address the 1-2 sleeve or is that less of an issue?
I'm a total trans n00b but if someone is willing to take the time to give an answer with a solid explanation I'd love to learn. Otherwise a solid answer from someone who knows their **** will do LOL.
Bone's been busy and I'm trying to get these parts ordered and get my swap done!
If I don't need em I'm all for saving money but never at the expense of reliability.

The best advice that I can offer is to get the transmission opened up first. Get it completely torn down and washed. Go over the complete transmission and go from there. That way you are buying the parts that you need vs. trying to guess what you need. We can tailor a kit specific to your needs and get you taken care of

I'll be in touch. I have it apart already. It's at Absolute Proformance as of this morning so they're gonna clean it up, inspect everything and get back to me.
