Anyone here had the a/c switch on the dash go bad? I picked up this crv 2 weeks ago with minor front end damage. The condenser was missing, but the car came with a new one in the box. Put that in, vacuumed the system down, held 29inhg solid so I charged it with 1.4lbs. If I turn on the a/c as normal the blower fan comes on, and the light on the dash comes on but nothing else happens. Put 12v to the compressor clutch and get cold air, but the idle is a little low and the condenser fan doesn't come on. Tried jumping the low pressure switch and nothing. Checked every single fuse and swapped relays around. Everything is pointing to the dash switch, but I haven't had time to dig that deep yet.

Now, I almost never get beat by car problems, I have been at this car thing for a very long time(almost 15 years professionally) but I just keep getting 10-15min here and there to troubleshoot and feel like I'm chasing my tail. Kinda forget what I have done and such. Just figured I'd post here since I can't touch the car right now, to see what other problems people have encountered in the crv world.

 

did you ever figure out what your problem was?

I have a 99 5spd and a 00 auto and both seem to have an A/C problem affecting the idle.

 

Your ecu is suppose to get a signal to idle a lil highers that it can handle the Xtra load. Might wanna check that signal and check your iacv.
