I was on craigslist the other day and came across an 85 crx that looks like it has the full 9 piece mugen kit on it. From what I've found online, its an EXTREMELY rare kit. Not only this, but it's sitting on mugen mr5s. I haven't talked to the guy yet, but I'm thinking he doesn't know what he has, since the wheels weren't even mentioned in the ad.

From my research, the only other possibility is that it's a houseman replica kit. Does anyone know any ways to tell the kits apart (real vs. replica)? Thanks for any input.

That's a cool car. From what I know only real way to tell is to pull the kit off and check for the mugen stamps. I believe each piece should have one.

I believe there's also away to tell if the kits real by where the holes for the jack points are? I could be wrong tho
