HELP PLEASE!! I've been having this problem for a few days on. My car would start just fine then when i drive for a few seconds it would just die on me. Then when i put it back to park and turn off the engine and start it agian and it goes fine again. This has happen a few times to me. And i just bought the car froma privite party. Anyone have any idea of what might cause the problem . Its a honda civic ex coupe 2003. Thank you

 

Check fuel pressure

 

It seems to be doing that when the car it sat outside under hot weather for a pretty long time like 30 min plus . Any idea why?

 

So after it stalls it runs fine? You may have a leaking headgasket and have coolant in the cylinders, causing it to stall, but after the coolant is burned off it will run ok.

 

Is your check engine light on? If it is then you should get it scanned at a repair shop.

 

Mine has been doing the same thing, but it does it regardless if its in the sun or in the garage. It doesn't do it every time though, it only seems to do it for me after its been sitting for a while, like a day or overnight.
