Default New member new honda owner

So brand new here, And brand new Honda owner, found this Ek in AZ about 8 hours away going to pick up in few weeks! Pretty excited, gonna be my daily driver, and cant wait!

What u guys think!

Full conversion SI outside and inside, JDM B16a block, Just ARP studs untouched bottom and head.
Tubo kit was done at HMO in AZ, made 190 on 6psi pump and very conservative tune, He dailys it, and did not wanna push the block at all.
Bunch of bolt ons, all name brand, tuned on S300.
Ill most likely run 8-10 hope for 250-275 with it, pump gas.
Pretty excited!

He asked 5500.

OD says over 200, but has been very well taken care of, and no rust, brand new paint, etc, Block has 70k same as trans (usdm ITR trans with LSD).

I been lookin for a deal for past 6 months lol, its not like this just poped up lol, Got lucky, and driving almost 9 hours to get it. lol

??? Logic would be that it's tuned already. AZ has some of the best Honda shops in America

He said in his OP VERY CONSERVATIVE TUNE so imo needs a proper tune, something in the middle op seems to think so also as he wants to run 8-10 psi

It was tuned conservative because he told his tuner it is a daily driver, and did not want to worry about doing any damage, Thus why its only on 6psi, and below 200horse lol, Assuming AFrs are also on the rich side to keep egts and compression heat down.

I know I can run 8-10 psi with no issues at all, he was just being real safe with it, Ill run 10, and take a little more timing out for the added boost, should be a FUN DD

Same thing ran through my mind. 2 weeks? I wouldn't hold something for longer than a day. Too many flakers and other BS.
The owner is either really chill, there is something wrong with the car and he/she doesn't think it will sell by then, or the seller is lying and is truly going by first come first serve. In that case you better jump on it.

250whp with 10psi and a stock b16?

let me know how that long that works out for you as a daily driver.

You think 190whp on 6psi on a stock B16 motor is a CONSERVATIVE tune at AZ altitude?

All he got where trade offers, says he lives in a small town, and not a big scene, everyone else just wanted to trade there NA crap civics for it. He decided to hold it since I was first with real cash. Once I get it, ill get back on for the goods and bads, im SURE its not PERFECT, but I still think its a damn good deal.

Sounds like a solid deal to me. Non boosted stock si's go for way more than that around here with 200k on the clock. People are nuts these days with the prices.
