Is anyone using Crome Pro on a Windows 8 OS?
Crome will work with windows 8 but the problem is that the datalogger. Depending on which one you have may not be supported, driver wise, rendering logging useless. I had to format windows 8 and downgrade to 7 just to have programs run correctly
Once again I do not use a Hulog, but I do know that it uses the FTDI chipset so If I were you I check to make sure that the FTDI chipset has a driver for windows 8. Windows 8 is not compatible with windows 7 drivers and any other older window OS. There is an option to override the driver check but that is a 1/2 chance of working and not working.
I emailed Dave Blundell at Moates, since they made the Hulog. He said that the drivers and Hulog will work with Windows 8.
Well there you go then. The next step is to install crome and find out for the rest of us if the hulog and crome work in harmony with windows 8.
