My sentiment exactly.

Ask anyone who bought one and worked on their car. You learn so much from looking through the manual and getting under the car/in the hood. Excellent value.

 

The Helms manuals pay for themselves the first time you work more then an hour on your car. Because that is about what a shop charges for an hour of labor.

Get one, you will not be disappointed.

 

Are there any supplements for the type-r or does the 98 integra manual cover it?

 

How much detail does the helm's manual go into? Would it have step by step instructions on how to remove cams.... flywheel, change tranny gearing, etc?

 

There are supplements, but they cover mostly electrical changes like ECU.


And yes it will tell you how to R&R cams and R&R any OEM part in your tranny. It will even tell you the specs of the Lost Mostion Assemblies and how stiff the check valves in the oil squirters are supposed to be.

It is what you would expect from a 1000 page book.

I completely tore down and rebuilt my B18C5 with just a helms.

 

The illustrations in the helms is very clear and helpful unlike some manuals which use photos.

i am about to purchase a helms manual (for a 98 R), can any tell me which manual i need, b/c i have seen people purchase more that one book.

 

The helms book is all you need. It's the best book I've ever bought yet.

 

The part number for the 1998 integra helms is: 61ST705

I bought it from an Acura dealership for the same amount as it would be to order it from Helms Inc.

 

Helms is the best no doubt. Basically shows you how to do anything and everything related to your car. $64 for a 1,416 page book full of technical diagrams and how-to's on anything maintenance related on your car is a great deal.

 

i want to buy one for 2001 itr . is it ok to buy for 98 integra book?
