Default 1996 vtec to 1995 non vtec

I will start by saying that I am sure that this question has been asked a million times and could be found by searching, with that being said I have searched to no avail. I have a perfectly running 1996 accord ex 2.2 vtec car with a horrible body and interior and have bought a 1995 accord lx 2.2 non vtec with a perfect body and interior and a bad motor. My thought process was that I would take the best parts of the two and build one car. Now for my problem, the 95 car is obd1 and the 96 is obd2 and the 95 is a non vtec car and the 96 is a vtec car. Will i have to swap both the engine harness and the cabin harness to make all this work right or will my cabin harness work with the engine harness for the vtec, being able to remain obd2?

There are slight wiring configuration differences between the OBDI and OBDII. It would be simple to just remove each respective engine/harness/computer(s) and swap completely.
