Default Strong Coolant Smell

My '91 Accord has ~189,000 miles. I bought it after it had sat for about a year and have been getting it back running. Lately there has been a strong smell of coolant after I run it for a while. Never runs "hot", swapped the t-stat and rad. hoses, flushed the system with fresh green juice. Don't know about the previous owner, but it looks like the head had some work done to it (looks cleaner than the block and valve cover). Any ideas?

normally when you have a coolant smell inside the car it's your heater core.

there shouldnt be coolant flowing thru there unless the heat is turned on, but there will still be coolant in the core.

perhaps you could see if it gets stinkier with the heat on, and/or bypass the heater and see if the smell goes away.

you might consider running a pressure test on the cooling system too

The smell is only coming from under the hood, no leaks and rad and overflow are full. I'm not losing any coolant either.
