I didnt know he was still in business. I still have one of his manifold from years ago. Thats unheard of, I hope his able to recover.

yea he is still around had been playing with quit a bit of Electric vehicle stuff recently on top of lots of custom fab work

Hate seeing that...scares the sh*t outa me. Getting insured for your space can be difficult as hell. Things like this cross my mind daily. My whole life is my shop...all my tools, my cars, my computers, my jigs...sh*t I worked over a decade for that would be pure hell to replace. My prayers go out to this guy...I can't imagine how he feels.

Talk to a good insurance broker, they can help you out. Tools are easy to put a value on. Your electronic data as well. You can even insure business earnings and extra expense so you take as little of a hit as possible.

 

Yea i know how hard it can be to deal with a fire and the aftermath.. our house caught on fire first week of April and we've been displaced from our home ever since, 5 weeks in a hotel (insanity) and now we're in a rental house we've been in since mid may... and our house still isn't done (they say mid to late October, hopefully they are right... So I feel his pain

I wouldn't wish a fire on my worst enemies (ok maybe a few, but only the hardcore **** heads)

That's what I said when our house caught on fire... and my neighbors all walked down with their kids, dogs, chairs and coolers and watched the firefighters try to save our house like it was some tv show... they never screamed for help when I collapsed from smoke inhalation or offered to keep our dogs in their backyards (5 dogs and my cat stayed in the car for 7 hours) My next door bitch of a neighbor watched in her backyard and laughed the entire time and then another neighbor said we needed a house fire

I promised them all at the top of my lungs that should their houses catch on fire I'm bringing gasoline and smore supplies.

but then after the fire comes the insurance people (if you have it) they are total ******** just to make matters worse

FYI it's easier to rebuild from foundation than it is to repair a damaged structure... every firefighter said it, so did the fire marshall, and our ins. people

maybe I should've waited to call 911 and let the bitch burn

Alex is a friend of mine and he was training me in tig welding so i could help him get caught up. I saw the smoke from my work. There was A LOT lost in that fire, 2 of which made me cry; Rb25 bmw and h22 turbo insight. The insight was supposed to be done and gone that week, too. I was really looking forward to that car since Im good friends with the owner and im a prelude guy. Plus i did a lot of work on his k20 insight so that would've been a great duo. Alex is still going on with the business, slowly but surely.

 

Does anyone know the insurance situation?

 

I do, but i probably shouldnt say yet till everythings settled. With how big the fire was and 12 tennants lost everything, it made a huge mess of things so its gonna take a long time. The H22 insight situation is not pretty, that alone was 30k.
