Ordered some Bridgestone RE11a:
I got a nail in my tire yesterday.. so I said ****, my tires are very old (2006) and time for a new set.
I bought Bridgestone RE11a 195/50 15 Theres only less than 10 sets left in the U.S. AND Canada. They will be here by thursday !
I had to call Bridgestone Canada to see where these are coming from and how many are available. They are only at the Bridgestone Warehouse in Allentown Pennsylvania.
No stores carry these in stock due to the odd tire size !
195/50 15 less than 10 sets available ! They are rare tires !
I have the Bridgestone RE01R and loved them !

Heres some more info on the tires:

Earlier this year, Bridgestone announced they would be releasing a revision to their popular Potenza RE-11 tire to make it more competitive in the dry among a stout group of competitors. The Potenza RE-11A will continue forward with the same exact tread pattern as the original Potenza RE-11 and will retain the same speed ratings as well. The main change in the design is a compound difference that allows for slightly higher grip limits. RE-11A tires will be released in ten sizes this summer and are branded with a UTQG rating of 200 - making them legal for most, if not all, street tire competition classes.
Like its predecessor, the Potenza RE-11A seems to be one of the most balanced Extreme Performance Summer tires, as well as one of the few that puts a high emphasis on good wet performance and hydroplaning resistance. Designed for serious sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan driving enthusiasts, the Potenza RE-11A enhances traction, handling and control while maintaining good noise and ride comfort. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A tires are performance tuned for dry and wet conditions, but like all summer tires it is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Potenza RE-11A's biggest competitors in 2013 look to be the BFGoodrich g-Force Rival and Dunlop Direzza ZII.
I like the Yoko specs but they dont come in 195/50 15 !
And Im never buying Dunlop after I spun out in 2003 with the FM901 tires !

Did a comparison to my Current RE-01R.
Besides the obvious different tread pattern, and better tire compound, the RE-11A has a 200AA tread wear rating, compared to the 140AA with the RE-01R.
Other differences are minimal:
Tread width: 7.4 vs 7.2 RE01R
Revs Per Mile: 917 vs 918 RE01R
Not sure if the RE-11a are a lighter tire compared to the RE01R.

Called the tire shop (OK Tire) today. Tires were suppose to be in Friday, now delayed until next wednesday due to customs/border crap !
If anyone plans on getting these, make sure you plan ahead because not many shops in Canada can get these in 195/50 15.
Most shops only carry 16-18" rubber !

Just put on about 300 km since I got these installed.
I have the pressures set to 32 front and 29 rear. My car weighs 2150 lbs.
A bit of bad news !
I heard a metallic noise and lumpy noise coming from my driver side rear tire, on Friday. Today on Saturday August 31st, I kept hearing this noise. I thought it was a nail or something stuck to the tire.
So today when I had time, I drove to an empty parking lot, drove slowly and opened my drivers door and stuck my head out to listen to the noise from the tire. It is definitely coming from the rear drivers tire. Sounds like the belt has come loose inside the tire ?
I can also hear it sounds flat as well when rolling slowly.
Is this a symptom of a separated belt ? Could it be a bad batch ?
I'm going back to the shop on tuesday to get it looked at and possibly replacing the tire.
I also emailed Bridgestone Canada about it.
thanks

Just got these tires installed last week and I was getting a ticking noise while driving, intermittently from 1 tire.
I thought it was a defect in the tire or even a belt that was broken.
So I took of the tire to inspect it, and nothing was noticeable and nothing was rubbing against the rim.
So I gave it a shake and then I could hear the noise.
In the video, you cant really hear the metallic ticking noise, but you do hear it moving around in there. Tire shop sais it could be a broken piece of the valve stem.
They said they will repair it no questions asked !
I also called Bridgestone Canada and spoke with a tech rep in Montreal.
I explained the situation and they said if there is any issue or doubt about 1 tire, they can give a replacement with no questions asked ! They also called the tire shop for me and kept in touch with them !
Great customer service for sure ! :
