Default Transmission Swap?

Greetings

I recently ended up getting a wrecked 93/94 Integra free, decided to put a rollcage in it and have a bit of fun on an oval track, I assumed it would be terribly slow due to the automatic but I was very surprised with it in the end.. however, it is still too slow off the corners and needs a standard

But.. I do not really care about this car, its just for fun.. and I have basically no money invested in it, so calling around local junk yards and finding that they want $300+ for just the transmission is not going to cut it, so I am still looking.. trouble is I do not know exactly what I am looking for, I get people telling me THIS will fit and THAT won't fit.. then someone else tells me different, right now I have the option to buy, what I believe is a 4th gen Accord with a 2.2 SOHC 5spd, the transmission mount looks different to me, but beyond that I have no idea

whole car for $200, blown engine cracked head, if the transmission cannot be made to work (I have no issues fabricating mounts etc.) will the pedals and shifter work at least?

And aside from all of that, could I make the automatic work better perhaps ? it is not that far off pace and infact, ran second just last weekend in a heat race, could I possibly just make more torque somewhere along the way to help it out? 100% stock as it stands

Just for the sake of explaining what I mean,
example of it lugging off every corner.. just not enough gear, I need to somehow move the power band higher up, but again.. I do not care about this car and do not want to put much money into it

any suggestions, comments.. questions etc. are all welcome
