Default Logan's 7th gen civic

Hey guys so I gave my green four door to my sister and bought this today. 04 civic ex with 182k from the Honda dealer ship for a deal. I have to pay off some of the car before I start changing things. Plan is fix what is broken and put it on some H&R springs followed my corrective suspension geometry then drive it. What do you guys think.

8/16/13 Brought her home.

If you paid anything over $6,000 not gonna lie feel kinda bad. You could have found a lower mileage one with same options for a lower price. Saw the car listed for $6,900 on the dealers website even though kbb lists the car worth $6,300 in excellent condition.

But in the end if you're happy with it that's all what matters. The 182k would scare me even for a honda in that condition which looks really good you're right. Good luck with it and hope it stays clean!

I paid 5k with an extra years tabs. I treat my cars well, I never go hard on it and I keep up with maintenance. I would like to replace the motor with a K20/24 and do the rsx spindle conversion. I have been looking through forms and that seems like the only thing that would make this car respectable.

I have took apart my seats to find why they were wiggling and found the all four arms on both seats were loose(14mm). I tightened the bolts and put the seats back together after a good clean and problem is gone

It looks clean. Now it's time to lower it and make it faster!

This is where it goes, b**** to get out to find the dealership gave me the wrong one because of a catalog error. In the end it took me 3 hours start to finish with out instructions and the 45 minute trip to the dealership. This next picture is a panel diagram that I found helpful

Found this inside of the door from a few years back, the address is about 50 miles away from where I live.

Finally got an amp so I can work on my sound. Plan is to sound deaden the doors and install new speakers. I used dynamat in my last car but it was messy and unsightly so I am looking for a different brand.

Wrong. 3rd gen ludes are the bastards of the honda scene lol. 7th gen civics are right up there though. But hey, the way I look at it, that's the way you want it right? I know I don't want something everyone and their dog has, and you definitely found it! Much easier to stand out and get recognized in something that isn't an 88-00 teggy or civic.

GL with the build man, great platform to start with (especially how clean it is for 180k), and a k20/k24 in there would be a blast to drive!

Thank you for the kind words. In the Honda community someone has to love these cars right? I have seen some really clean 3rd generation Preludes, its all about how you care for it. I see my car as a Honda not the unpopular civic, there is beauty to be found in every car and I think people don't give most cars the time of day to find that.

My daily commute is about 45 miles as of now. I am looking for a new job in my area to cut down on my driving. I do like road trips, when I bought the car I envisioned traveling in it. With that said the plan is to collect factory options as well as make the car act like a sports car. K series is the only option for the motor, tightening the suspension, creature comforts and improving looks are all on the list to be done.

lol, exactly! how much fun would a stricly teggy's/civic's meet me? gotta have those oddball honda's int here to mix it up a bit. Any car can be made beautiful with a bit of time and effort, and sadly most people stay clear of these chassis because it is NOT easy. making parts fit? screw that, i'll buy an eg. not us though lol.

sounds like a solid, reliable build! again, gl with it, i'll be stopping by to check out the progress.

Looks like a clean well taken care of car, im sure you will get another 100k+ out of it or more if you go K series.

One of the bennifits of this body style especially living where you do is not having to worry so much about it getting stolen. 88-00 Civics get stolen like crazy in this area.

Looks like a clean start!...I was interested in the 7th gens for a minute b/c at LEAST you could find examples without rust that hadn't fall victim to poor mods...keep us updated...might want to go up on the rears a little imo...

One of the cleaner examples I have seen around lately...(shot at the SHG meet this year)

with some work and parts my car should look similar to that. I really want some fog light and side skirts.

Looking good dude! I've always liked these cars. 5 lugs are cheap and so are Kswaps. especially since that boring d17 has a lot of miles on it.

Thank you Brice, they really are underrated in the Honda world. But with the improvements you mentioned I know the car would be a whole lot of fun.
