Default 86 CRX Si Project car

Hey everyone, i recently bought an 86 CRX Si and thought i'd upload a few pics and get some input and thoughts on the car. I bought the car from and old man who's wife had forced him into getting rid of it. I'm planning on making this into a project car and new to the Honda scene so im open for any suggestion please! Thanks.

If it runs good, I would do anything to it. Nice looking car!

That car is WAY too clean to mess with!

If you want to mod a 3erd gen please sell this for a profit (in this condition - guaranteed) and buy a lesser CRX. Take the profit and mod the second car at no additional cost.

Nice!

The first thing to do is check for rust, particularly by the panhard mount undrr the car by the driver's rear wheel.

Obviously somone has taken the stock wheels. When you replace them DO NOT be tempted to go for 15's or larger. They came with 14's for a reason.

The seats are from a later Honda, which are fine. But if you are tall headroom may be an issue. The stock seats were much closer to the floor.

Come on over to the 1st gen CRX site, www.redpepperracing.com or the Facebook group 1st/3rd gen Honda CRX and Civic.

Id divorce a woman that tried to force me into selling that! Really nice CRX, want to sell it? :D As far as mods go, definitely go for the largest wheels possible. Ive been trying to figure out a way to get 22" wheels on mine. j/k I think 14s are a good size, and 15s are acceptable but really any larger and I think they start to look funny. strut bars, sway bars, a urethane bushing kit, and a nice set of dampers would be at the top of my list. Perhaps torsion bars, and an adjustable panhard rod.
