My reverse lights come on when I'm switching into reverse but when I'm in reverse they turn off. It's like I need to keep it just almost out of gear when backing up for the lights to stay on. It isn't a huge problem but I find its a safety issue when backing out of parking spots or into on coming traffic.

UPDATE: it's an AT. It's not the bulbs, fuses or switch because the reverse indicator and reverse lights do come on when I hold the shifter just above the "R" position. Seems like it needs an adjustment somewhere.

Anyone found a solution for this or have any ideas how to fix this?
