Default Aftermarket/Extended Warranty

I recently bought an 07 Element with 32k and i was curious if any of you have ever looked into or purchased an aftermarket/extended warranty for your vehicles and can share your thoughts on them

Thanks!

Default Re: Aftermarket/Extended Warranty

I have never bought outside warranty to cover vehicle repairs.

But in my opinion,
Hondas are usually very reliable and problem free, so I wouldn't get that coverage. And parts usually are not too expensive anyways for these compared to other cars. More mass produced, more bought, cheaper value cars usually have much cheaper parts and more aftermarket parts so even cheaper yet.

So to me it all depends on the car and it's reliability.

Expensive luxury cars, it would be wise to get coverage if you could afford it.
Not a hater (I am very open minded and not biased), but it seems Ford and Dodge make vehicles are much less reliable and likely to need repairs.

But of course, as with any vehicle, it does need to be taken care of and not abused.
And just because it is a Honda or Toyota does not mean it won't have issues, there are lemons and brand new models have not been out long, they could have problems with new designs making certain parts unreliable, but they already have a warranty and recalls usually will cover the repairs.

Just my opinion.
