Removing Dealership stickers
I have tried everything I can think of to remove this sticker like goo gone and ive also used a rubbing compound with a dual action polisher but nothing seems to work to remove this sticker. What can be used that won't damage the paint
If you're VERY careful a plaster spreader can remove that goo/gunk. when I first got my teg it had some ricer stickers on it that I had a real hard time getting off until I went at it with a scraper. see pic
Hmm.. good question. I would like to know myself. If you find out what works, let me know.
The putty knife would probably be too hard to use without scratching paint.
Only thing I can think of is, you know how tape can rip/transfer images onto the tape, well maybe you can try that. Put a layer of tape on the area, probably leave it for awhile (maybe let it heat up in the sun would help?) and peel it off. Repeat several times and maybe it would work??? Just a thought. Not sure what type of tape to use tho.
But maybe that is just sun tanned into the paint? (certain parts of sticker allowed more light through tanning the image into the paint) Which I don't think much would work. Maybe use something like ReNu Finish or polish it. Probably won't get rid of it, but might help hide it.
If all else fails, just put a nice sticker of your liking over that spot.

We used a heat gun and then Wurths adhesive remover to safely remove dealership stickers when I worked at my local Honda dealer.
It's the best stuff I've ever used.
