Hey guys, Lookin at '99 CW ITR
Tomorrow I am going to look at a 1999 CW ITR. The Car has about 35,000 miles on it and he wants abou 16k (american) for it. Think this is a good deal?? There are only about 2 in my city, so they are quite rare. Also are there any Irregularities between the GSR and Type-R i should know about in terms of maintenance. What I mean is aside from the normal things, like body work etc. is there something ITR specific to look for on the car to determine if it is in good condition mechanically??
thanx in advance
BTW how is it in winter?? Assuming I have snow tires of course.

I just bought a canadian itr with 23k miles. Just rev it to red line in each gear and take some sharp corners and break very hard. Listen for noises when you hit vtec, make sure vtec is working properly, ie, pay attention after 5500 rpm. Look inside the engine bay and make sure the bumper paint is matching nothing looks out of place, sometimes people crash their cars and get them fixed and not say anything, a few people who bought R's have run in to this problem , you should ask around for better help on how to tell if the the car has sustained any damage from other people on the board. Other than that, if the suspension feels good, the engine revs like an animal, and the shifter shifts smoothly, and visually its all good, your getting a very good deal. I paid 16300 for my 2000R and no money was made on the deal buy the seller, so 16000 for a 99 is a very fair price.

He is actually asking about 26500 CDN. That is roughly 16 canadian or so. New they were 32000 CDN, so i think im getting a bit of a deal.
