I just replaced the rear shoes, drums, and a wheel cylinder (only one because it was seized, the other was fine) on my 88 HF. Now I'm getting a pulsating noise that I can't figured out what it is. I just bought the car about a week before I started the brakes, so I'm not sure if it was there before. I've had the brakes on a off 5 times now, anyone have any tips?

 

If you jack up the rear and spin the tire manually, can you still hear the noise?

 

No, its only when I apply the brakes. I think I'm going to go head and replace the other wheel cylinder.

 

It could proboaby be your hubs or bearrings and brakes

 

I guess I'll jack it up and try and spin the tire fast enough to make the noise. How can you check the rear wheel bearing, it sounds good when it is being spun.
