do I need RDX injectors and a Walbro190 with this setup?
I will have a head swap and new cams by the end of the week in my 99 integra ls b18b1.
1. Will RDX injectors and a Walbro190 significantly help the setup below?
2. or would I be risking damage by not upgrading?
3. or would it not be really worth it either way?
Comptech Ice Box style DIY filter box with K&N filter,
p8r head,
Delta 272 b18b1 regrind camshafts (272 lift, part no 129)
PLM replica Hytech tri Y header with 2.5" collector,
cat delete,
2.25" inside diameter mandrel bent Yonaka cat back exhaust,
12 lbs. lightened flywheel
XTD "stage 2" full face kevlar clutch

where are you located? I ask, because if you live in a warmer part of the country the stock injectors should be fine for your setup. if you live in a colder part of the country and plan to drive the car in winter at all, you will want larger than stock injectors.
if you do the fuel pump, which you should either way whether you keep the stock injectors or go aftermarket injectors, you might as well get the 255. it works fine on a full stock fuel system including the stock fpr.
and if you get larger injectors, you can keep cost down by just using dsm 450cc bluetops (single spray pattern), or for a couple bucks more get the dsm 450cc blacktops (dual spray pattern)

Im in FL.
So Im guessing If I dropped in the new fuel pump Id have to get another basemap, or would the one I just got for the headswap and cams work?

Im guessing you have some sort of engine management already with your set up?
Running those cams on a OE map isnt the best thing.
Theres no reason for the injector upgrade so far. The pump should be a OE replacement.
Just get a tune and quit with all these basemaps. You dont have a base engine anymore, so a basemap is worthless and just a starting point for a tune.

Hard wire a Walbro 255LPH with a relay and run a regulator to crank the pressure. Running RDX injectors at anything less than 50PSI base seems like a waste. BTW my Walbro 255LPH direct wired runs at 70PSI without a problem. I'd go higher if Aeromotive regulators could but not without an inline pump. Flow is seriously killed with higher pressures with most in-tank no modification required pumps.
With newer Bosch injectors spray pattern only gets better as pressure increases. ID725's can go to like 120PSI. I'll see if I can find the video but at 60PSI they really start to shine over other style injectors. Above that and they make other injectors seem as primitive as a carburetor lol.

the only time the fuel pump replacement will affect anything, is if the old pump is shot and not keeping pressure where it should be, or if the new pump is too powerful and overpowers the FPR and raises fuel pressures higher than it's supposed to.
a standard walbro 255 usually will not alter fuel pressures, as they don't overpower the stock fpr. so the pump replacement will not affect the basemap/tune (typically). either way, you should be waiting to tune it til after your setup is complete, so the pump you use doesn't matter right now, as long as it's good enough to support your setup.
