my car wont go into gear when i step on the brake???? what is wrong-97 honda accord ex

 

There is a switch that unlocks the shifter when you step on the brake and I can't think of the name. If you are stuck somewhere though you can use your key to put it in neutral and start the car. Then put it into gear as normal.

Look at the parts on this page. I believe it's on there. Maybe #5-9...
