So i just recently purchased a complete gsr changeover. I was getting the engine ready for some basic maintenance repairs and i noticed this.

from the looks of it I'm guessing i have to replace the whole crank?

Damn never seen that before. Either get a new crank or have that piece welded just hope u don't need to change oil pump if u go that route

im leaning towards just getting a new gsr crank hopefully for cheap since i spent all the money on this piece of crap swap
don't trash the crank if you decide to get another one, people like me would buy it and fix it. No since trashing an OEM major part when it can be fixed.

wow, yeah I've never seen that either. I would imagine the crank pulley is also damaged, so you'll want to buy another crank pulley as well.
but like the others said, that crank is fixable. you can fix it or replace it. just don't throw it out because others will buy it and fix it.

cover up all the places the bearings set and weld it up and either grind it down carefully, or use a lathe and clean it up. More than likely you'll have to grind it. Just keep test fitting a crank pulley until it will just slide on.
