Default Oil in coolant reservoir

I have a 2000 Acura EL (same engine as Honda Civic), with about 200,000 miles. I have been losing oil lately and have discovered oil in coolant reservoir bottle and some in the rad itself. I have read many of the threads about this type of problem generally pointing to either a cracked block or a leaking head gasket but most folks who have had these problems also report a loss in power or engine overheating. I am not seeing either of these symptoms.

Can I have a cracked block or leaking head gasket without seeing overheating. Just debating whether to sink any more money into this car or to put it to rest and get something new.

Thanks

The head gasket is almost surely blown.

Yes. That happens frequently.

If you replace the headgasket make sure you also replace the thermostat, rad cap and waterpump, throughly flush the cooling system first as the oil in it swells anything rubber.
