Aftermarket Cat vs. Hollowed Cat
Anyone got any thoughts on which is better and why? I personally hollowed my cat out, and it was obviously a pretty big bottleneck as the performance increase was noticable. Previously I'd considered getting a high flow aftermarket cat, but my question is: "Why bother?" It just seems like you're spending cash on something you could do yourself. Granted there are emissions differences, but as of last summer Florida no longer has emissions testing.
Sound does reverb a bit in the hollow cat, but it's either gone away or I've become used to the sound. Other than that, what's the difference? Any thoughts/comments are appreciated.
