Default Another 5 speed swap question

I have a 98 hatch and I'm planning on a 5 speed swap. I have everything except the mounts. I have read a ton of different treads saying you need this and that, and some say the auto mounts will work. My question to you guys is this: what mounts do I need? Which tranny brackets to I need? The tranny I picked up is a P20 A000 out of an eg. It came with the upper bracket and mount. Is that usable in my 98? Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can use the transmission from an eg.

you can use the stock mounts but you will need the 5 speed brackets for the transmission (rear and pass side)

are you doing a single cam or dohc swap?

if its a single cam or b16 you can use the stock driver bracket.

if ls or gsr you need an aftermarket mount and bracket

edit:your doing an auto to manual swap correct? do you have all the wiring down packed? if not i can direct you towards a link

Yes, the auto tranny mount will not work, use the mount that came with the tranny you picked up

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I have a y7(sohc love). So, all the auto mounts will work, I will just need to pick up a 5 speed t bracket and lower side bracket?

You need the upper transmission bracket from a '96 - '00 Civic along with the rubber upper transmission mount, rear mount and lower torque mounts. Technically you could reuse the rubber automatic mounts if you really wanted to, but they're weaker than the manual mounts.

Will this stuff take care of the mounts and brackets?

No, the upper mount pictured is for a '92 - '95. Also you don't need the rear bracket as both the automatic and manual are the same.
