EF hatch TDC code
hey i recently blew up my 14:1 compression minime and swapped a d15b6 i had lying around into my ef. thing is i get TDC codes all the time. Im using a obd1 distrubitor bc my obd0 distributor is rotted all to hell.
The block is irrelevant. It's the way the ECU interprets the signals from the distributor. I believe that your specific problem is two fold:
1) Wrong distributor/ECU combination. DPFI distributor is different from a MPFI distributor with respect to it's corresponding ECU. The MPFI distributor has an extra sensor.
2) OBD mismatch. You have an OBD0 ECU and an OBD1 distributor. Aside from the ECU being DPFI the disconnect is in the way it interprets the signals coming from the distributor.
It's a bit more complicated than that, but that is basically what is happening.

So I need to find the distributor for my Ecu. My crx has the td01u. Distributor. 437 bucks brand new 220 remanufactured. That's expensive compared to other parts. I have no junkyard around that carries my car. Rare breed of honda
