Help, Stripped threads on bolt thing that connects oil filter and engine block.92 Acc
As the title states, I was changing the oil filter on my 92 accord lx and long story short I stripped the threads on the bolt thing (and possibly the engine block) that connects the oil filter and the engine block. I have no idea what this part is called or where to get a new one. I am told that it is highly unusual for this part to come out along with the filter, but it did. It is threaded on both the engine and the filter side, and it is hollow with a hole that goes all the way through (from filter to engine.) If anyone could help me identify what this part is called and maybe where to get one, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Does your engine have the oil cooler plate between the engine block and the oil filter? It has two coolant hosed attached to it. Or does the filter mate directly to the block?
If it has the oil cooler then you are looking for the oil cooler center bolt , part number 15560-PT6-003
If it is just the oil filter you need the oil filter holder, part number 90015-PH1-013
