Hi there peeps.

Searching the net I can't really figure out which distributor fits my i1.6 DOHC D16A9 engine. As example D16A1 and a others from the D16A* line might be usable. But again this is a DOHC.

I this engine the same as the one called JDM ZC?

Also I've read something about a Acura Integra distributor that fits. Fits meaning: exactly the same / drop in replacement

It seems to me that I need TD-03. But if some of the others can be used because they're the same, I'd really like to know.

I need to go hunting for a new distributor.

the 88-91 JDM DOHC ZC, the 88-89 USDM Integra D16A1, the EDM D16A8/A9 distributors all fit - nothing else - they are TD-03U

 

Even if one is dohc and other sohc??

 

all of the engines listed above are DOHC, all use the same distributor and only the TD03U distributor fits - no SOHC distributor will fit

I should add that the EDM D16Z5 also uses the same distributor - it is also DOHC, basically the same as the D16A8/A9
