Default DPFI MPFI need help

OK guys. I just recently purchased a 91 crx hf. The car won't go pass 30mph. It takes forever to even get up to 30mph. The person I bought the car from did an obd0 to obd1 conversion on it. When I asked him exactly what all was done, he couldn't give me a good answer. His buddy was the one that did it for him but he is currently deployed over seas. I could figure this out by looking at it but I don't have the car on me right now. I'm from Oklahoma City and the car is in Dallas, TX parked at my brother house. I want to try to get some ideas and input before heading back down there this weekend to fix it. So my question is, to use a MPFI conversion harness, would you have to still convert the original ECU pinout from a DPFI to MPFI?

A crx hf is multi-point from factory so no need for a conversion harness

^Correct, no MPFI needed with this car. This leads to the next question...is it still using the original D15B6 engine?

When you have a chance, verify (or have your brother verify) which engine, what ECU, and which distributor is currently being used. Verify if there are any CEL indicated.

Oh really. I never knew that. I always thought all crx are dpfi. I've always messed with obd1+. This is my first obd0 vehichle I've own.

No. They swaped it out with a z6 swap. When I had the car towed to my brothers house, I went ahead and inspected everything. They are using a obd1 dizzy and using a p28 ecu with a obd1 jumper harness. There is no CEL on. I'm thinking they pulled out the light bulb for the CEL so when I get back down, I will have to take apart the cluster to make sure myself. But they did tap 3 wire from the chassis harness for the map sensor. I'm thinking maybe that could be the problem now.
