Default n/a Gsr motor on Eg coupe

Looking to see what would be the best headers for my set up i currently have some ebay headers which i know they not the best but i was running motor stock. Now building the motor but also looking for some decent headers for it also

Specs on Motor
B18c1 81.50 bore with high compression pistons 12.5.1
Rods recondition and full floating
Arp rod bolts

Head
Port polish
Stage 3 Crower cams
Supertech valve springs, stem seals and keepers
Edelbrock intake mani with 70mm throttle body
440 cc Injectors

New OEM seals, gaskets
and oil pump.
i still need to check the clearance which i will once i get everything together

just trying to figure out what headers will fit right with that setup?? any ideas?

ive seach for forums seen the tri Y headers does good power and also what i had in mind were the Bisimoto headers

If you have money to spend on them Toda might be a good header to look into as well. I would suggest trying to find dyno's of cars with similar setups and see what header they are using.

I had someone selling me bisimoto headers specially made for the track but I also wanted it for street
If I go with toda ill mostlikely get my hands on a replica
Knowing the actual ones go for more than a thousand but you get what you pay for right

Yeah I'm on the budget right now I have to replace my intake manifold and other small parts that got stolen last night :/ including my eBay headers lol

I'm thinking of the Toda replica headers then I've seen the dynos does better than the bisimoto just love how they look

Yeah I'm most likely go with the toda headers

I found some on eBay
Like this one http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=300300107457&siteId=0&isClassified =false

And this one

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=111064096476&siteId=0&isClassified =false

There's no difference with it right

Nvm going with toda not Tri Y

As I was searching I found one that says short tube

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...assified=false

Does it matter one I get this or just the regular toda header
Both are the same price by the way

For what it's worth - I've heard of people's PLM "Toda" header cracking, a friend of mine had his crack after 1,200 miles of use.

I had another friend completely bottom-out on a huge speed bump, high centering his car. His S2 Alpha was pancaked, but didn't crack.

Food for thought

I know there is 10 or so sets on cars I have tuned and not one of them has cracked and it has been 14 or so months since I worked and still am in contact with the customers and none have said there headers have cracked.
Just make sure the rear header bracket is bolted where it should be the PLM fits to the STD brace very nicely.

The Skunk2 Alpha header is a very nice piece it just hangs a little to low for my liking.

I dont know anybody that has the Toda Headers around that way i could hear some feed back about it. Now about that cracking got me thinking but how is that possible headers not being properly welded? Material wise? but i mean being worth 350 should be able to hold up as much as the ebay headers 100 times more lol

If Dave hasn't seen any problems then I wouldn't hesitate buying one. The guy I know whose cracked wasn't using the bracket to the back of the block which I'm 99% sure is the reason it failed.
